What You'll Learn

Capture the Energy of the Coast in Your Paintings

Painting on the coast is a special experience. There's so much variety and sometimes the apparent simplicity of the subject can make it hard to express how it makes you feel. In this course we'll look at how to get all that information under control to develop clear visual ideas for your seascape paintings.

Through sketching, photography, composition and colour exploration, you'll develop a process-driven approach to creating finished paintings that capture the energy of coastal landscapes. Whether you follow along with the demonstrations, work from your own photos, or use the provided reference materials — no coastal location required.

With 20 video tutorials across 6.5+ hours and 12 months of access, you can work through the material at your own pace and revisit lessons whenever you need.

"I LOVED this course and Lewis is an amazing artist and teacher.. I highly recommend any of his classes and I know I'll be taking more very soon! I'm so happy with my development since taking his Seascapes class!!"

"If you have not discovered your process then this course is just for you. Take the worry out of the creative process and put the fun back in! It's a whole new way to look at painting with more expression and creativity."

Nicola P.

"A thoroughly enjoyable course, giving me the confidence to actually take my materials outside into the environment and allowing myself to be free and loose within my practice and silence that art critic chimp that quite often sits on my shoulder! I loved the ability to watch and re watch the sessions at my pace. I wouldn't hesitate to take part in another one of Lewis's courses!"
